Being, at the time of writing, a relative newbie to Bratwurst I’m still discovering what to do with these German delicacies. But they are essentially heavily seasoned sausages, and what goes better with Sausages than Mash and Gravy?
Well, the answer to that is MUSTARD Mash and ONION BEER Gravy! These flavours go together with the Bratwurst wonderfully, and because there’s honey added to the gravy it adds a slight sweetness to the dish which helps balance out the heavily seasoned Bratwurst and the Mustard Mash.
Of course, you don’t have to use Bratwurst for this dish as it would work wonderfully with any sausages you happen to have in the house.
